Our client is one of the world's largest and most respected global financial institutions. Their network span across the globe with offices in nearly 60 countries and territories. They are seeking to recruit a highly motivated Operations Control Officer to be part of their team.

Operations Control Officer
(Singapore)
Requirements:
In this role, you are required to conduct monthly review of intersystem and inter-business integrity control across all products, as well as review and control all General Ledger accounts owned by Operations to ensure the integrity of entries and balances. You will review and report on reconciliation on a timely basis, as well as monitor and analyse the potential P&L impact and report the failed trades, with proper actions being carried out to close the failed trades. You will provide high statistical and explanation of breaks, failed trades and settlement performance and report on the detailed quantitative performance and control on operation activities.
As part of your job function, you will review controls of processes within operations to ensure adherence of practice to the latest approved policies, processes and procedures and perform review of Operations to determine if control functions are adequately performed. You will review General Ledger account balances between Operations’ system to ensure that transactions are accurately and punctually recorded across profit centres.
Responsibilities:
- A University Degree or a recognised professional qualification in Banking and / or Accounting
- At least 3 years of experience in Operations or Operations Control
- Good understanding of broad product knowledge and product awareness
- Good understanding of Operation processes, risks and controls across products, preferably with hands-on operations and / or accounting experience
- Good communication and leadership skills
- Meticulous and can work well in a team
- Knowledge of Sarbanes Oxley a plus
