Import/Export Analyst
(Singapore)
Responsibilities:
* Assist in developing strategies to implement efficient and effective standard operating procedures, processes, controls and system solutions globally.
* Build internal relationships to understand the product lines and operations of each business unit.
* Ensure internal policies are in alignment with U.S. and foreign Government laws, rules, and regulations.
* Monitor regulatory and legislative changes, and report to senior compliance staff.
* Perform product classifications and prepare all relevant import/export documentation.
* Prepare all necessary licenses and permits as required by all applicable import/export regulations.
* Conduct training courses and seminars for internal and interdepartmental staff in areas of shipping, import/export regulations and internal procedures.
* Perform audits to ensure departmental and corporate policies and procedures are compliant to applicable laws and regulations.
* Perform periodic site visits to ensure conformance with import/export regulations throughout the supply chain.
* Maintain electronic and physical records to establish traceability.
* Identify and report potential risks or violations to senior compliance staff.
* Valuation for all import/export shipments in accordance with Broadcom's valuation methodology.
* Monitor shipments and perform/coordinate all relevant import/export clearance procedures.
Requirements:
* Bachelors Degree
* Must have least 2+ years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Complete understanding of all applicable customs import/export regulations; including but not limited to, US Export Administration Regulations, International Traffic and Arms Regulations, Harmonized Tariff Schedule, Schedule B.
* Affiliation/certification with local or International trade organizations desirable.
* Proficient with Remedy, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint (User)
* Technical knowledge of related Telecommunications, Encryption and Electrical Engineering technologies necessary.
* Knowledge with C-TPAT programs and requirements.
Skills/ Abilities:
* Excellent verbal and written interpersonal communication skills; able to speak fluent English.
* Works independently, strong initiative to complete tasks without supervision.
* Builds rapport with customers, is committed to meeting customer expectations.
* Maintain a professional appearance and disposition while on duty.
* Responds timely to requests for information, service and assistance.
* Attentive to detail and accuracy, looks for improvements continuously.
