Straits Orthopaedics (Mfg) Sdn Bhd ("Straits") is a Malaysian company situated at Teluk Kumbar. Straits is a medical devices manufacturer and our principal business is the production, cleaning and packaging of orthopaedics devices and accessories (trauma and reconstructive ) and wound care products. Mainly, all our product are exported to our customers in the United States of America.
Straits is a company certified with ISO 13485:2003 and ISO 9001:2000. Currently, we have approximately 300 employees and due to our expansion, we are looking for qualified candidate to join our team as :
Accountant
(Penang - Teluk Kumbar, Penang)
Responsibilities:
* In charge of accounts receivable and accounts payables for customers and suppliers overseas
* Responsible in monitoring timely collection from overseas customers
* Responsible for making payment to overseas suppliers
* Liaison with customers for on time payment
* Responsible in the reconciliation of statements of accounts with overseas customers and suppliers
* Good knowledge in Malaysian regulatory requirements
* Monitor cash flow movements
* To check/review invoices, accounts receivable and payables statements, bank reconciliations, accounts receivables and payables aging reports and other records.
* Investigate and follow up with overseas customers on long outstanding debts and ensure good collections.
Requirements:
* Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma or Professional Degree in Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent.
* Required skill(s): Knowledge and experience in accounts receivable & payable, good command of English, intermediate knowledge in Excel.
* Preferred skill(s): Professional qualification, people skills, supervisory skill, computer literate.
* Required language(s): English, Bahasa Malaysia
* At least 3 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
* Preferably Junior Executives specializing in Finance - General/Cost Accounting or equivalent. Job role in Financial Accounting & Reporting or equivalent.
* 1 Full-Time position available.
