Application Helpdesk Support Analysts (AS/400 and Web Applications)

Responsibilities:
* Investigate Production problems and suggest/recommend resolutions.
* Understand the users’ requirements and able to interpret/document them clearly for second/third level supports. Verify technical specifications, database design, technical architecture, sizing, as required to resolve production problems and enhancements.
* Generate ad-hoc reports using Query/400.
* Assist in assessing the impact and/or effort required to do a problem fix, request or enhancement.
* Develop standard documentation as required of a task (e.g. test documentation, problem investigation, etc.).
* Communicate effectively with users and other technical staff within the APZ IT Team.
Requirements:
* At least a diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Science or its equivalent.
* At least 2-3 years experience in application support experience. AS/400 working experience is preferred.
* Insurance or Banking industry experience will be beneficial.
* Must be a Team player, as well as, able to work independently.
* Must be analytical and have good troubleshooting, as well as, problem resolution skills.
* Able to commence work within short notice.
* Good communications and customer service skills.
