R & D Manager
(Shah Alam, Malaysia)
Responsibilities:
* Plan development work and agree plan with R&D Director.
* Develop product options to meet a marketing brief (meeting time, prime cost and quality criteria).
* Reviewing product options with R&D Director prior to presenting to marketing.
* Plan, execute and review product development trials at bench and pilot scale. Participate in factory or scale up trials.
* Develop new or adapt existing analytical methods required to measure product quality, and use analytics to assist in trouble shooting.
* Translate feedback into plan for recipe and/or process developments.
* Draft product costs for comparative purposes and estimate costs of trials and track trial costs against estimates, reviewing with R&D Director.
* Complete product and ingredient specifications as appropriate.
Requirements:
* Candidate must possess at least a Master's Degree or a PhD in Chemistry, preferably in Organic Chemistry.
* At least 6 years of working experience in R & D in process industry.
* Good statistical analytical skills with excellent technical report writing skill.
